Area (M 2)
Located atop a lush, wooded hill, this rural estate is located in Rapolano Terme in the heart of the Siena province.
The home is a fortified structure that has existed since the Etruscan period. Official documents of ownership date back to the 12th century, but there are sources that indicate the home has been in function for even longer than that. In the year 1260, this estate was one of the many castles of the Counts of Berardenga (as part of the historic property of Castelnuovo Berardenga), and a few years later in 1271 became an official seat for Siena’s civil court.
The history and cultural influence have marked the estate over the years, making it a true piece of Italian antiquity.
You can reach the home via Terme Querciolaie, an ancient white road that is very recognizable by the people of Tuscany.
This agricultural home measures 12,000 square metres, with 685 hectares of property included on the land. The property is divided into 511 hectares of forest, 34 hectares or arables, 60 hectares of plum trees, 23 hectares of vineyards, 10 hectares of olive trees, 11 hectares of perennials and 4 hectares of apple trees. The remaining 10 hectares are used for grazing livestock or horses.
The surrounding area includes several manors and estates that are in various maintenance statuses, as well as several agricultural factories and construction sites that can provide several functions.
